Mandatory Reporting
Under DC, Maryland, and Virginia law, certain licensed caregivers are mandatory reporters of suspected elder abuse, neglect, or exploitation. We Care Connect requires all caregivers on our platform to report suspected abuse to the appropriate Adult Protective Services agency β and to notify us β regardless of their individual license type.
If you suspect a caregiver has failed to report abuse, contact us at safety@wecaco.com immediately.
Caregiver Safety
Caregivers deserve a safe working environment. We take reports of family misconduct β including verbal abuse, unsafe conditions, or payment disputes β seriously.
- Caregivers may end a session immediately if they feel unsafe and will not be penalized.
- Report family misconduct via your caregiver dashboard or at safety@wecaco.com.
- We investigate all reports from caregivers with the same rigor as family reports.
